At Regions, the Operations Analyst investigates team workflows and business procedures, and compiles and reports volume, productivity, quality and other statistical data. Analyzes business issues and makes recommendations to maximize operational efficiency and quality, and ensure compliance standards are adhered to.
Works under limited to moderate supervision to analyze and solve mildly complex operational, systems-related, and/or customer issues
Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
Identifies project requirements by interviewing customers, analyzing operations, determining project scope, and documenting results
Creates and maintains databases and management reports; analyze and interpret data to identify anomalies, trends and opportunities for improvements
Works with managers to apply data to business goals and analytical requirements, which may include capacity planning, volume forecasting and unit costing
May define user requirements and assist with user acceptance testing
May manage small projects requiring some coordination and/or contribute to task forces or project teams
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Bachelors degree in Business, Data Management, Statistics, Math, Economics, or related field with five years of relevant experience
High school diploma or GED with seven years of direct analyst experience
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both technical and business staff
A fundamental understanding of project management

The Scheduler Business Analyst is a key role in the bank’s branch workforce management program. The Business Analyst is responsible for managing, maintaining and reporting on all aspects of the scheduling solution to ensure the bank is fully leveraging the solution to make key business decisions and affect the desired staffing outcomes.
Strong ability to analyze data and interpret results
Intermediate to advanced Excel abilities
Experience in workforce management, labor modeling or related disciplines
Ability to validate and troubleshoot support inquiries
General understanding of the branch operating environment
Familiarity with standard data extraction and transfer methodologies
