At Regions, the Loan Operations Collateral Release Specialist reviews documentation and makes decisions on collateral release requests.
Conducts detailed internet research with counties, states, and federal departments
Responsible for researching and analyzing issues related to customer loan accounts and legal documents
Responds to emails, phone calls and voice mails from branches, loan officers and third-party vendors
Contacts loan officer(s) to assist in release approvals
Completes detailed narratives of investigation, findings, and results in the release request management system and reviews all requests for completeness and accuracy
Knowledgeable of the loan operations activities
Works under limited to moderate supervision to analyze and solve mildly complex operational, systems-related, and/or customer issues
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
High school diploma or GED
Five (5) years banking collateral release/loan experience requiring excellent judgement skills
Strong organizational, analytical and judgment skills
Ability to work independently with minimal instruction
Efficient in handling and dealing with peak work volumes
PC proficient (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite)
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience in the following systems Mainframe, ACLS, ACAPS, CCNET, AFS (Level III), VRC, Dealertrack, and Diligenz.
